I have a eight door commercial cooler that uses a outdoor a/c unit as a compressor. The compressor was just changed. But now the breaker trips after about 8-10 hours of use. The unit runs on 220 current.

I separated your question to be alone from the thread you originally replied to.

Need to know more detail on the cooler, such as amperage, voltage, etc. This can be found on the nameplate on the unit.

Also need to know the size circuit breaker that is tripping.

The unit runs on 220 current. The unit runs on 240 or 208 volts. The current is the draw of the unit.

Without knowing the current draw of the compressor and any attached peripherals, AND knowing the circuit ampacity and conductor size run, we cannot give you any advice, other than...


please...what do I do.... call someone in who is qualified and experienced to work on these units.
This is NOT DIY work.

Call back contractor that installed compressor. May have installed compressor that needs larger amp breaker.

The breaker that is tripping is a 30amp double pole.
