My 20 year old daughter lives in my home with me. She has created such disruptions that the police have been called to my home on more than one occasion. I tried to follow the eviction procedures of Florida, but was told by the clerk at the Broward county courts, that I can't evict my daughter since she pays no rent. Can I use the un lawful detainer law to have her removed from my home?

You need to speak with someone else down at the courthouse about this matter as you can evict her whether she pays rent or not. Surprised that the Clerk's Office told you this. Try speaking with a supervisor down there.

I live in Florida. My 60 year old girlfriend has lived with me for the past 18 months. The relationship has ended but she refuses to leave unless I pay her money to do so. She will not give me an exact amount. We have no rental agreement since I pay all the bills as before she ever moved into my home. She has occasionally purchased groceries and pictures or small items for the home at her discretion. She was never asked nor encouraged to do so. I have offered to pay her for what she thinks the value of what she did to the home was. Again she will not give me an amount only says make her an offer. Can I use a Unlawful Detainer to get her to leave my home.

Yes, or simply find the clerk in Broward County that Kathe spoke to and, if you get the same answer, ask the police to put your ex ladyfriend out on the street.
