A couple of nights ago we got 4 to 6 inches of rain and our basement flooded the boiler, on a standard 6" pad, got wet about half of the furnace was under water. The liner in the burn chamber has fallen and is cover the viewing window... What do we do? Replace the funrace completely? Repair the liner? Some more info maybe... The furnace is a 1960's vintage Crane. I have been told by other boiler techs that Crane stopped producing this type of boiler in the late '60s.

Replacement is an option especially if energy efficiency is important but I am sure a company makes a universal chamber liner for your boiler.

Below is just an idea and if you have no experience in this issue I suggest a pro do the work.
