I leave my home in Florida empty for 6 months and have been told I need to keep the air condointing on, is this true and why? Also if I do need to keep it on what temp can I set highest?

Thanks,

Andy Carter

There is NO hard and fast rule on this subject but if your area is damp then leaving the A/C on is cheap insurance against mold. Mold can damage many items quickly and the cost will be much higher than any utility bills for running the A/C.

I leave my house for at least 6 months during the summer in Florida.

Should I have my AC on? I have heard if I don't I will get mold?

If I have to leave it on, how long per day?

What temp?

Thanks,

Andy

Just get a dehumidifier.
