Hi I recently installed a remote controlled ceiling fan which replaced an old one on a dimmer switch. I followed instructions provided and capped an extra red wire coming from ceiling. All works well from remote but now the dimmer switch does not work. What did I do wrong?
Thanks so much!

Red capped is likely OK, The constant hot feeds receiver, you should have a Light and fan switch leg to connect to the Fan and to the light wires.
Be sure bulb is OK and Light switch on fan is in the ON position.

Thanks for quick response but the light and fan work perfectly with remote control but now the wall dimmer switch will not turn on the light.

The only way the wall dimmer will work is if you you use the red wire to bypass the module and control light by dimmer, only fan will be controlled by remote.

REMOVE the dimmer switch and control the fan and light from the remote. It is not safe to use both.
