OK... My21 yr old son... was put on supervised probation, a few months ago.. (stealing can of beer, and running from police.. ) Was given special permission to go to another state to live with his dad and finish college there. Had to report to prob officer after arriving in different state and show proof of alcohol counseling. (Did this)... then switched to UNSUPERVISED probation. After moving to different state, steals and is arrested for misdemeanor 1st offense... when brought back to court, after being out on bail, was told they knew he had a record... in 1st state... and therefore, is NOW assigned probation, 15 months, with drug and alcohol testing. So: Can he ever come back home? Or will he be in violation of original probation here, in our state? Does he have to report prob violation of unsupervised probation? IT's not like he can serve there and here... and he's kind of stuck there, until the 15 month new probation term is over. He's going to finish college there, has no family or friends... has a root canal that needs to be done... no medical insurance... no job, because of his record, and has money due to court, and needs money to live on... Any suggestions for a son who was going to be a PREACHER?? Thanks, mom (may reply to [email protected])

Still no raason he canpt become a preacher if he will change his criminal behavior and repent, Some of the very best preachers had to be sinners first.

The issue here is he is doing nothing about it, he needs to report this NOW and start the process instead of waiting.

He can always move his probation back home after he gets out of school. And get permission to travel home for holidays and the such from the PO.

He was re-assigned to a PO there before he was put on unsupervised, he needs to go see them.
