I have a now 8 week old baby girl I also have a 3 year old little boy so keep this in mind as I tell you my problem. I will start from when she was born so you understand a little bit more about it.
I breastfed for 5 weeks and got put on very strong antibiotics a week after she was born because I had an infection so they gave her colic so at 5 weeks I put her on formula and then found out she has reflux and ended up in hospital with it for 3 days while she was in hospital I had just started to relactate because she was fine when she was breastfed until I was put on the antibiotics. I have been latching her on easily and she will suck for about 5-10 minutes on one side then I struggle to get her on the other side but she is still hungry so I top her up with formula then I express every 1-2 hours it has taken me a week and a half to get 30mls expressing from both breasts I get 20mls out of one then 10mls out of the other. My concern is she is getting confused with my breast and bottle teats and gets upset when switching she seems like she only wants one or the other I have been working very hard to get my milk supply back up and it is getting very hard to cope with it seems that its all I do all day but I want to give her the best and feel bad if I fail breastfeeding again I'm also on prescribed tabs to help with my milk supply but its not really helping. I feel run down and very tired and confused I just need some advice whether I should continue with relactation or just give in and go with bottle fed formula the formula is nan pro gold it has probiotics in it some of which are found in breastmilk any suggestions or answers would be a very big help need to figure out what to do asap I'm sick of putting her through this confusion...

Your child is suffering from nipple confusion. I am sure you are exhausted from all you are going through. You need rest. As a nurse, I would recommend you get the rest you need and just go with the bottle at this point in time. There is no assurance that your milk supply will build back up.
