Experts,
My question is if its possible to install a Watts RO-PURE system using without using the spout that was given? The home owner currently has a simple Aqua Pure AP517 with a oil rubbed bronze spout. The RO system is a stainless steel spout. The home owner wants to keep the oil rubbed bronze spout. Is this even possible? How important is the red tube and the black tube? Is it possible to just cap off the red tube on the filtration system?

Hi Net...

Shouldn't be a big issue to use the bronze finished faucet. You'll just need to connect the hose from the SS spout to the cold water connection into the bronze finished faucet. This means, however, that all cold water used at the faucet will be RO filtered... basically meaning that the homeowner will need to replace filter(s) more frequently. You will definitely need adapters to connect the RO hose to the kitchen faucet cold water connection.

Finally, ALL hoses coming from an RO system are required to be used properly... no exceptions to this. Read the instructions in great detail and if they aren't available I'm sure you can get them pretty easily by calling watts or even looking online, perhaps.

Glad to discuss more if you like...
