I have very low water pressure. I have flushed my hot water heater tank and it did not improve. Someone said I might need to clean the screen but I am not sure how to do that or even get to it.

Is the water pressure low for just hot but cold is great? Is it at all fixtures. No screen, stop looking. Tell that's omeone to stop telling people this.

It is just the hot water, the cold water runs full force. When you turn on the hot water it sounds like it is sputtering and then as the water gets hot it slowly starts losing pressure but still get hot.

You have a hot water volume oroblem, it just appears to be pressure but it is not. Connect a garden hose to the drain sopigot of the heater, open the valve. Do you have good volume/pressure from this valve? How long since you last flushed your heater? Your are flushing it now by opening that valve.

We finally had to have a plumber come out and it is some kind of rod. My husband did not remember what exactly he said. Thanks so much for replying to me.
