I'm not a good speaker. I don't speak great english( nor any other language).

Since I'm interested in foreign languages, I sometimes want to meet foreigners. But most foreigners that I meet through email, happen to be good English speakers. And usually they want to meet Americans who are good at English. This is true especially with foreigners who come to learn English.

I speak slow, have an accent and have a very limited vocabulary so should I just forget about meeting foreigners?

PS I'm american but with parents from other country and I have an accent.

Your opinion of "foreigers" is wrong and based on I would assume your past interaction which has the factor of your view point. No two people from other nations can be judged by others of the same nation. Most will actually love to interact with others that want to learn about their customes and country. In the proper setting, You feel like making friends to exhange view points and learn have to match specific forulas, some do better than others, but normally get out of it what you are willing to put into it
