OK when I went to the doc they gave me prenantal to take but they are really big and they say to chew them I can't stand the taste is it all right to just swallow it and also they said they may want to to start the progesterone shot because I delivered early twice does anyone know what all the risk are and if they are chancees of a heart attack or blood clots with that? Thanks
You can swallow them. It's not a problem.
Stormey, do you have a risk for heart attack or blood clots without the progesterone?

Never been told that but my heart rate does stay a little high
Heart rate has little to do with heart attack, so don't worry there hun.

O OK thaks so much I was so neverous about that when do they usually start that I go back the 17 of march to talk about the shot and I will be a little over 9 weeks
From my limited understanding of progesterone use during pregnancy, it is used to prevent miscarriage, and is used only up until the 16th week. You see, the baby makes progesterone, so unless your levels are low, there is no need for this.
How early were your early deliveries?

I was on progesterone until week 13 of my pregnancy. It was prescribed because I was spotting and had a history of early loss.
After the first trimester, there is little to no benefit in preventing miscarriage or early delivery.
In some women, it can cause feelings of bloating and exhaustion. Others don't feel any side effects.
Just to note: My little one was early, but this had nothing to do with early progesterone levels or my use of it in the first trimester.
