I'm not 100% sure if this is in the right category, however, for as long as I can remember I've had troubles with changes, I have an adjustment disorder which probably explains most of my problems. But through to the reason why I'm writing here, every time I change, lets say my hair for instance, I get extremely anxious and panicky and I hate myself for doing it, etc. I've always wanted to get tattoos and I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen, and I really don't want it to. It's not just about appearance changes, etc, it is about other things to, but my main concern nowadays is appearance, because I want to be who I want to be, but my disorders or whatever it is, is stopping me.

Have you spoken to anyone, professionally, about your anxiety with change?
Or acceptance?
Accepting the things we cannot change,the courage to change the things we can,and the wisdom to know the difference.

Ok,it's not an acceptance thing.Perhaps a chat with a professional therapist would help you shed some light on this, to be able to identify this for yourself and seek treatment for it.
Treatment can range from simple things, positive reinforcement to larger things,group therapy.A full range of things, but YOU have to make the decision to seek this help.And accept what is offered to you(open mindedness goes a long way in resolving problems)

Change can only occur with forward thinking.You seem to be stuck in the way you are thinking.
Reluctance to change(from stubbornness to fear),can only create stress.
Sometimes we have to work for things,life is a constant change and we have to adapt to it,it doesn't adapt to suit us.
