I am wondering if anyone knows of a resource to help felons find jobs, I currently have five felony convictions. I know what your thinking but no I no longer am on that path so to speak. I spent two years in an inpatient treatment center for drugs and since have yet to break a single law, not even jay walk. All my convictions are within a two year span and the most recent from 2006. I would like to go to school but I don't know what to go for with my background. What career choice would have me so that my time was not wasted?

You posted this in health care - if you want to have a career which requires licensing that probably will not happen. You need to speak to your local licensing board.

Hi, curiousity12!
If you're looking for a job in a health care career of some kind, yes five felonies doesn't make your prospect of getting a job look very promising. However, whether you obtain some kind employment in a health care job, could depend on many factors, such as the type of job that you want, where you want to work, the nature of your felonies and the time that has elapsed since your convictions.
So, please do let us know the location where you might want to work, the type of job that you would like, how long ago that you were convicted and information about the types of felonies that you committed, please.
Thanks!
