Unit runs but ingnition will not light. The gas company came and took front panel off on the circular window I can see a light that blinks three quick blinks intermittingly is sorry to sound so stupid, but is that what they mean ignitor

I have a carrier 9300 the unit was running but stopped blowing hot air. I took of the front panel and in the small round window a sensor light blinks three or four times at start up. The gas company suggested I look into a ignition, but I don't know where the ignition is. Im in dire straights, anyone have any answers. Thank you for any info you can give me
