My new sony 46" TV says no signal. I thought I had the dish network box, and the dvd/vcr combo hooked up as shown. Please advise me on how to properly install.

Umal, check the sony INPUT. There are likley 6 or more like AV1, AV2, HD1, RGB, etc... Try each one, your DISH is likely sending out a singnal you just need to know where the TV thinks its fed to.
Is your second post the same issue but you are thinking you did not hook your cables correctly? The DISH manual is downloadable and shows many different hookup. You need to also decisde if you just want to play your vcr tapes or if you want to record what the TV is showing, like burn a copy.

If you give the make and model of the equipment (TV included) then I can provided you with the best way to connect everything. However, if you do not wish to purchase new cables, then I will need to know what kinds you have.

You can try the above suggestion, but if you are trying to get HD and have an HD box, you also need it connected through an HD cable.
