Peoples actions do speak louder then words.

When actions and words do not match, I'd always trust the actions more. People lie all the time!

It depends who the person is.

I would not take the word of a complete stranger as truth,on the other hand, a long standing trustworthy friend, I would never question.

Sadley society has changed, you can no longer leave your doors or windows open while you go to the shops, niether can you leave you car engine running whilst you pop in the shop for a paper.

You darent open your door when it's dark or even go for a stroll in the evening alone.

No I'm afraid it's much wiser these days to question everything rather than be sorry after the event.

Hi, cateyes1!

People can say anything they want. But ultimately, it's how they act that reveals how they truly are.

In direct answer to your question though, I'll gladly accept the word of a trusted friend, until their actions show otherwise.

Thanks!

"Actions talk BS walks"

One of the most difficult things is to want to trust and believe in someone because you like them. But time and actions tell you the truth.

Most often even your instincts initially will give you some hint to these people.

I am from the 'old school' and was taught that a persons' word is his banner. My grandfather always said 'listen and watch' and also especially watch their eyes.

Stringer,

I think that you need to look me in the eye when you're speaking to me! See, you're looking to the left and paying way too much attention to that woman!

I've been told that looking to the left is one of the signs that a person is lying.

Thanks!
