View Full Version : Trying to get a job at the post office
Hi, I am trying to get a job at the post office, and I was wondering if anyone knew if that was possible without taking the battery test? I really appreciate any info! Thank you!

What do you mean 'the battery test'. Do you mean a background check ? Well, I guess so, after all if you intend on delivering mail then you have to have a good reputation.

No, he means their entrance exam, there is a test that is taken, and you have to be in the upper ( percentage, ) to even be called for an interview.
But no, you can bid for one of the contract positions. Many of the rural routes are not employees but are bid out each year or two year to contractors who run the route for the post office
** but you don't get the benefits.
But for the regular position, not only do you have to take the test you have to do very very well.
Thanks! I really appreciate it
