I met a really nice guy at a gathering for a family friends 21st last night. After the party we continued talking for another three hours (during which he really seemed interested). I finally decided to call it a night seeing it was 2.30am, but before getting into the cab I said to him, "I am tossing up whether or not I should ask for your number.. or ask if you would like my number..". He said he didn't have his phone on him. So I asked him for his number, which he gave. I know this was very forward of me, and seems a little daft now I look back, though should I call him or should I just not bother?

No harm in giving him a quick call to see where you stand with him.

The worst that can happen is that he's not interested, but at least you won't have to continue to sit around your room wondering what he's thinking.

You're the one with his number, it's not like he can call you. If you don't call him, then you're not really interested anyway.
