Ugh. I have a major sore neck. I woke up with it two mornings ago, and it's gradually gotten worse. I can barely turn my head at all and tonight it hurts to swallow.

I have been trying warm packs but that isn't working. The first day it actually made it worse. Cold does no good either.

I only have Tylenol in the house so I think I'm going to go out and find something better - any suggestions?

My sympathies! - I used to get them a lot.

I suggest an anti inflammatory - in Australia we have 'Naprosyn' - I also found that gentle massage with warmed pure eucalyptus oil helped.

It does take a while to get better and beware any sudden movements as it starts to heal - wham! It can get worse just like that.

Please go to the doctor. Your neck could just strained but there are some other reasons for neck pain that may require medical attention.
