Find the melting point of temperature in Kelvin for sucrose

You need to carry out the experiment. Get some sucrose and put it in a boiling tube.

In theory, you can put a thermometer in the boiling tube and you'll see the temperature rising, until the temperature remains constant for some time. That temperature is the melting point.

However, since you are heating the substance, the time that the temperature remains constant might be too short for you to notice. So, you wait for all the solid to melt first. Then, you remove the boiling tube from the bunsen flame. You start a stopwatch and take the readings of the thermometer at 30 seconds interval. After doing that, plot a graph of temperature against time, and look for the temperature for which the sucrose remained constant for a long period.

Then, convert the temperature to Kelvin if your thermometer reads temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
