Hi, I have a 2000 Honda civic, one morning it wouldn't start, I replaced the battery and it ran fine for a week then died and has worked since.

Both times have been the same problem the engin will crank but not start and would not jump start, I have had the whole distributor replaced, it now starts but the battery light comes on (this did not happen before) and it will not charge.

Has anyone come across something similar? Thanks

The idle speed may be too low--it should be set around 700 rpm. Use this link to check the regulated battery voltage:
