2x=3y=-8 3z-y=-7 x+2z=-7
this question says solve the following system of equations for z only using cramers rule.
now all the examples I have, have 3 terms eg: 2x+3y-z=7 in all three the equations now this question has only two terms. How would you go abought getting the column for this?

Cramer's rule: Cramer's rule - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cramer%27s_rule)

Your least eqn x+2z=-7 can be written as

1x + 0y + 2z = -7

It should now be obvious.
