My hubby is a vey nice person , but he's on a quiet side . Doesn't like to meet new people... all my friends husbands they meet and comes to the get togethers but him.. I feel very embaressed because they try to be friends with him and he is just not interested??

Maybe he isn't comfortable with guy talk. Or he is afraid he will hear something that he just doesn't want to know.

Why should it matter? He's a grown man who can make decisions for himself.

When it affects your ability to make friends it is a problem. As long as he has no problem with you having friends I see no issue.

As long as your husband isn't rude to any one, then there isn't a problem, some people are just like that, they prefer their own company or the company of their immediate family, it's where they feel most comfortable and have more confidence in themselves.

I know several people who prefer their home life.. I'm one of them and so was my dad ( bless him).Going out socializing just isn't my thing,although I'm a very outgoing person, I'm much happier when at home, I think maybe your husband is the same.

All day every day I work with many people of all kinds,it's very busy, noisy with lots of chatting all the time, so I'm really glad to come home to wind down from it all, the last thing I want to do, is socialize in the evening.

I don't think my head could take it.

Perhaps your husband has a busy job and he feels as I do, glad of the peace and quiet.

How is he stopping you from making friends? What does he like to do?

Sounds like you and your friends are just more outgoing people, whereas you husband is a loner. There's really nothing wrong with your husband being different (more introverted) than you and your friends, but there is a problem with you being embarrassed by him. Are your sure there isn't more to this story? :confused:
