3 speed ceiling fan, only works on high speed, bought new switch,opened fan, old switch looks exactly the same, however, 2 wires not connected bare wires not taped just hanging there. These 2 wires (one brown, one red) are coming from another small rectangular gold brass box. The wires connected to the switch - 1-red 2-black 3-black L-empty. What are these to loose wires and where do they go? One of them I assume goes into L? Maybe not I don't know but what about the other one?

Before you disconnect anything or try replacing the switch, send me pictures.
