Hello Team,
Iam an Indian citizen working in the US on L1-A visa. My total stay in the US for 2009 was only 98 days. Iam married and no children at the moment.

My question is :
1. Can I do eFiling?
2. Or do I need to fill form 1040NR and do the paper filing?
3. Or do I need to go to a Tax consultant for filing my returns. If yes, normaly, how much would the tax consultant charge for his services (in USD)??
4. I want to file as Married and living with spouse. My spouse is not working. Will this have any advantage on my returns?

1. No
2. Yes, file nonresident tax return.
3. Yes, you may. You can deduct travel expenses --- transportation, lodging and meals.Use Form 2106 or 2106-EZ to figure your allowable expenses that you claim on line 9 of Schedule A (Form 1040NR).
4. Nonresident return can not be filed jointly.
