Hi,
I remember my favorite TV programme when I was little, but I don't remember the name.
But I remember being blown away by it as a child. I don't remember much but would love to know what it was.
It was either American, Canadian, or British (not Australian or from New Zealand).
It broadcast on New Zealand TV in the 1980's. It started of with an old man starting to tell a story. Then he would pull out a book and start telling it. I don't remember if it was graphics or puppets, but I do remember that for its time it looked very realistic. It really blew my mind. I don't think it was in cartoon as I didn't like cartoons. I think it was amazingly done puppets. I don't think it had the mainstream cinderalla etc either. It was new stories. And I remember the scenes looked majical, deep in wild forests etc. I would *love* to know what this was. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

No, that's not it since I have also been looking for the name of the same programme for over 20 years! It was a child's programme, nothing scary but very enchanting - it had puppets which were not puppets since they had a life of their own and they had an oriental theme to them.
If anyone gets the answer, please let us know.
Where can one get it now anyway?

Grimm's Fairy Tales, I think. It was on Nickelodeon and was Japanese animation.
