My grandson is 23 and living in my basement. He moved in with his girlfriend and their baby in mar/09 and she left in oct/o9 with baby and went back to her parents home in Florida. He was not doing anything to pay his mounting credit cards, never paid us or helped around the house, she didn't help either. He has a serious drinking problem and I am suspecting drugs also. I think she left because he was getting aggressive. He has been a serious problem since he was a child deserted by our son and his girlfriend so we took him as an infant. They both had alcohol and drug problems. WE gave him a good loving home and he has put us through hell and then some. We need to get him out of our home because he ruining our lives and marriage. He has consumed about 10 bottles of liquor maybe more since his girl and baby left, he doesn't go to work everyday, and most likely will be fired soon . He refuses to get counseling and help. All he wants to do is sleep, eat, drink, and smoke. He is extremely overweight and sick a lot. Three trips to thr er recently and he won't follow up with doctors and LIES to everyone

Give him a written 30-day notice(depending on your state, you may only have to give a 15-day but 30-day is more typical) to vacate the premises. If he refuses, file for eviction at your county courthouse.
