I have recently split up with my boyfriend, and we had sex two days before, we didn't use a condom at first but he put one on afterwards so he could . My period was 3 weeks late, and about a week ago I came on, but it was a light one, I came off aabout 5 days later, which is normal for me. But today I came on again so suddenly and it is really heavy and very painful. I spoke to my friend about it and she said that's exactly what happened to her and she found out she was pregnant, but I took a pregnancy text a week after me and my boyfriend split and it came up negative. Could I possibly be pregnant, could the pregnancy test have been faulty or was there simply not enough of the hCG levels in my urine for the pregnancy test to detect? Or am I more than likely not pregnant and my periods are simply just irregular right now with stress from the break up? Please help, I'm so confused...

Take another test. The first one may have been taken too early. Have you spoken to your dr about birth control pills yet? It would help regulate your cycle and when used correctly it is highly effective in preventing pregnancy (keep in mind abstinence is the only 100% effective form of birth control and the pill does not protect from stds.)

I have been on the pill before, but i couldn't stay on the one that i liked because for some reason the people at the clinic wouldn't allow me to :S And so they put me on a different one but that one gave me such bad pains that i collapsed they were that painful. Also, i am on my period AGAIN now, would i have to wait for this one to stop before i took another test?

You're first post was a little hard to read. How many times have you had your "period" now since your regular one? And is your period being late normal? Or is the light period normal? You mentioned a painful heavy period, if that's not normal for you, now would probably be a good time to call your dr, or the clinic. Its always better safe than sorry.

And if you're interested, there's tons of different pills out there. The clinic should be informing you of all of your options so that if you decide to use the pill, you can find the one that's right for you.

Alright.......When me and my, well now my ex, had sex, i was already a week late coming on my period, and i came on two weeks after me and him last had sex. It was a light period, which isn't normal for me, but it lasted around 5 days which is normal. Then a week later (today) I came on again very heavy, which is sort of normal it just usually doesn't get this heavy straight away, and i have very bad pains, which isn't normal. My normal period is heavy, with no pains, and usually lasts about 5 days, and yes i am normally regular and very rarely am i late.

Well dependin on the last time you took the pregnancy test, wait another two weeks then try the pregnancy test again. It could be that (Hopefully not) But alot of bleeding and pain could be caused from losing the baby, But i think you should wait a few weeks and take the test again then go to the doctors to find out for real because thats the only way you will know.

You should call your dr. no on online can diagnose you. And this is not something that should be ignored.

I would not wait to call the dr. if you are pregnant, the pain and bleeding could be from a tubal pregnancy. Or like chulove pointed out, you could be having a miscarriage. Or maybe it is nothing at all. Do not wait to call your dr. call today so you can figure out what's going on.
