1996 bmw z3, 44k miles, parked in garage last year, started up and drove went over speed bump then check engine light went on. So, changed fuel filter now won't turn over. It starts but cuts out. What to do?

Since the CEL came on, be sure to check for codes. Sometime, when you change the fuel filter, CELs come on. It takes a code reader to clear the code.
