Hi! I have a small cleaning business but I'm looking to advance in the business. How do I go about looking for bids, doing a proposal and pricing? I really need your help so if you can give examples with the pricing that would be great! angels2

Assuming that you are incorporated and insured you need to get the 'word' out Angel.

Web advertising, direct cold calls, newspaper advertising, networking, etc. You need to 'brand' your business.

As far as pricing and proposals... first let me ask you are you in the residential or commercial market or both? Each is done a little differently.

Hi Stringer!
Yes I'm incorporated and insured and I do both residential and commercial cleaning.

Usually residential pricing is done hourly. Calculate your labor, all your overhead and your profit and come up with a 'loaded' rate.

Commercial pricing is more complicated, bid per the specifications.

I figure my pricing three ways to compose one monthly price;

Square footage, hourly and what my competitors are presently doing.

Does this help you?
