So I'm a single mother and my child fathers not in his life and doesn't pay child support even though he's supposed to! Can I have him sign all his rights to me or do I have to have a man to replace him or sign my rights over to someone else so he has none? I live in the state of Missouri and I have no idea! I don't know what I would even ask a lawyer so I'm looking on the internet first! Anyone know anything?

There is Sticky at the top of this forum regarding this topic. You can read it here:

Was the child support court-ordered? If so, why don't you file for contempt against him? Does he not have a job?

Was he established as the legal father either by court-ordered DNA test or by signing a paternity acknowledgment form?
