I missed a day of my birth control pills and I took it immediately the next morning and have continued to take them at the proper time. Ever since I missed which was a week ago I have had constant bleeding and dark discharge. I haven't had sex since I missed but I don't know what's wrong. I have two more days left of regular pills until I should start my period. Should I be OK?

You're most likely OK. Dark discharge is old blood.

How long have you been on this type of contraception? It can take several months for your body to get used to it and it can cause spotting.

I have been on it since September.
