View Full Version : What is the life expectancy of a 2001 nissan xterra

I just got a 2001 nissan xterra with 110,000 miles,and the dealer replaced all belts including the timing belt, it does not leak oil, and runs great. What is the life expectancy of this vehicle when used as a everyday driver. Can I expect to go 200,000 plus miles, would that be the norm (with regular oil changes and maintanence of course) I really need this truck to last a few years. Thanks for responding

If you follow the recommendations, below, it should easily go 300,000 miles:

Even though it's geared to Hondas, it should be apparent most of it is applicable to most cars. Be sure to start a Maintenance Log on your computer.
Grease the suspension every 20,000 miles with synthetic grease; e.g. Mobil 1, Valvoline SynPower, or Amsoil GLC.

Great, I hope you are right, because I really love this truck, and I want to be able to use it foir a long time!
