Hello, I am 53 now my girl friend broke it off with me 2.5 years ago, she said when we broke that we were soul mates and she thought we would be married some day, she made a little contact at first but not much, The first year was really bad. I am better now but miss her and think about her daily. I have not wanted to call her because I don't want to be a wussy, what would I say ? Another question does she feel like she can't call because she broke it off, is it possible that we are both stubborn, lost for answers can anyone help?

Hello Stamman,

Why did the two of you break up in the first place, please?

If you are still not over her, calling is not a good idea.

Had she wanted to give it another go,most likely she would have got in touch.

It's time to move on and heal properly and eventually meet someone who will be a better partner.

Yes could you tell us more?
Why do you suddenly want to contact her after 2.5 years?

Hello Stamman,

Thanks for your reply, I had major drama with my son, he got in trouble with the law for stealing and it kind of pushed me over the edge with stress, too much for her I guess, we didn't see eye to eye on things and started to get pulled apart

Hello thanks for your reply, well I guess I would rather know, maybe I just never had any closure. Maybe I will continue working on myself, still confused.

That's what I would say.

Understand why after 2.5 years you want this person back. Closure is long gone. You may never have gotten that.

Sounds like you still haven't come to any realizations or worked. Then or now.

Get things together and realize that there's another world out there.

Well, Its been tuff, one of those situations where you do anything for the other person, wish I would'nt have loved her so hard now, wrong way to think but what did I learn from this, guarded heart just want it to heal so I can love again, it will never be the same! Oh Well

I hope you won't be the same.

Well, get on that. Tuff, means working. Especially now. I mean with yourself.

Get in tune. What it is you want & how to get there.

This one is history. Write the next chapter.

I know it's part of my journey. Could be worst, just still sad over this one, was just playing for keeps

Its beyond being sad.

What else have you been doing in the past 2.5 years?

Your journey is under your control, not anyone else's.

I understand playing for keeps, but it has to be with the right person.

That includes you. Not everyone is right for each other. That's why we are here.
