Hello; Re: Craftman 3.5 edger it soulds exactly like the kowler question you answered. I'll ask my question because the engine size difference. Well hear goes: I have a 2yr old edger and a small lawn. It wouldn't start so I pulled off the air cleaner sprayed starting fluid and it started right up for 5-10 sec's. Fluid burns off and it stops. I flushed the gas tank no blockage to carb. I didn't see any filter in the tank or by the unit. Took the carb off and it was new looking on the inside. Any suggestions, how about g cap?
Thanks jr

I was assuming it was craftman engine. I just went to get the model#536-77210100
I think it's a craftman engine there is no tag to state otherwise, Thanks, John

Hi,
I find your manual at:
http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0103153.pdf
And the service manual at:
http://www.smallenginesuppliers.com/html/engine-specs/tecumseh/Tecumseh_L-Head_Engines_Service_Information.pdf
And page 24 has the picture I attach. Up where it says Idle Transfer Passage there is a tiny diagonal hole (passage) that goes downward to feed the low speed circuit.
Peace,
Clarke

Hi,
It is likely. Do notice I described the hole and the direction (diagonal and downward) and know that is not on the drawing but is there.
Peace,
Clarke
