Senator Jim Inhofe ,ranking Republican in the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works is asking the Justice Dept to investigate what is being called 'climategate '.

His committee has been looking into the growing scandal and has found that...

What emerges from our review of the emails and documents, which span a 13-year period from 1996 through November 2009, is much more than, as EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson put it, scientists who "lack interpersonal skills." Rather, the emails show the world's leading climate scientists discussing, among other things:

Obstructing the release of damaging data and information;

Manipulating data to reach preconceived conclusions;
threatening journal editors who published work questioning the climate science "consensus";
and

Assuming activist roles to influence the political process.

The correspondence also reveals a fractured consensus on the state of climate science. Contrary to repeated assertions that the "science is settled," the emails show the world's leading climate scientists arguing over critical issues, questioning key methods and statistical techniques, and doubting whether there is "consensus" on the causes and the extent of climate change.

Included in the committee report will be the new revelations that the UN IPCC report was wrong about Himalayan glacier retreat, Amazon rain forest damage, African crop projections, and the level of oceans rising .

The question I have is will the Goracle be hauled before the committee to testify under oath ? I already know his calls for the Holder Justice Dept. to do anything is going to fall on deaf ears . But the Gore advocacy of this fraud should be officially exposed for what it is... a business opportunity based on a fraud.

Gore should be compelled to testify under oath.

Two years ago, Justice Michael Burton of London's High Court ruled Gore's film could be shown in British schools only if material explaining its errors were included in the curriculum. Burton documented nine significant errors in Gore's film and wrote that some of Gore's claims arose from "alarmism and exaggeration."
The first error Gore made, according to Burton, was in his apocalyptic vision of the devastation caused by a rise in sea levels caused by melting polar ice caps. Burton wrote that Gore's predicted 20-foot rise could occur "only after, and over, millennia" and to suggest otherwise "is not in line with the scientific consensus."
One by one, Gore's prophecies of doom and those of the climate charlatans he inspired are being exposed as the work of con artists. From the CRU to the IPCC, the climate dominoes are falling one by one. His silence speaks volumes.

Rex McBride at American Thinker brings up the possibility of opening RICO investigations against the Goracle under the theory that the "green" companies he's opened will crash and burn and Gore was running the equivalent of a Madoff scheme.

Sooner or later, Al Gore needs to answer some hard questions. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for lawsuits from private investors. Today, legal counsel will advise him to remain silent.

It's impossible to predict how many lawsuits, or what kind, might arise once everyone realizes that the AGW scam dwarfs Bernie Madoff's $50-billion Ponzi operation.

As investors learn the extent of the scam, Mr. Gore's start-up "green" companies will lose considerable value, like flaky dot-com companies lacking a real product. Investors in these "green" companies -- who reasonably relied upon Gore's alarming claims -- may pursue several possible remedies:

- derivative shareholder lawsuits, disgorging from Mr. Gore and other senior officers in these companies any illicit gains from any insider trading that could be proven; and/or

- lawsuits against brokers who did not perform the SEC's necessary "due diligence" research before peddling those shares; and/or

- civil RICO lawsuits against Mr. Gore and any IPCC scientists who participated in blocking the publication of contrary research, cooking the data, all of whose annual income skyrocketed from the public hysteria....

If Mr. Gore's "green" companies do crash and significantly injure private investors, attorneys in a civil lawsuit could compel Gore to answer questions like:

(1) When you claimed that "the science is settled," did you mean that it's "settled" that you and the IPCC scientists could make quick millions by manipulating the data and fomenting public hysteria?

(2) What does "peer review" mean if none of the IPCC scientists who controlled the academic journals protested that there was no original data to support your frightening claim of accelerated temperature increases after 1995?

(3) If the very scientists that the public trusted to act as the "check and balance" against careless research -- or worse yet, to protect against research fraud -- did not catch a "tiny" problem like not having original supporting data after 1995, does "peer review" mean that IPCC's scientists would secretly work in concert to cover each other's asses and keep the grants coming?

Such questions need answers.

American Thinker: Al Gore Is Lying Low -- for Good ReasonHello tom:

Vice is hiding in the hospital for the same reason. An iron heart don't break, so that ain't it. Being a law and order sort myself, I say prosecute lawbreakers where you find 'em - even if they're lying low.

Ex speaking of laying low... where you been ?

Thankfully former VP Cheney was released from the hospital and is doing well.

The Goracle on the other hand took some heat from fellow board members at the recent Apple board member's meeting.

One called him a laughing stock and and urged against Gore's re-election to the board.

The heat is on the climate scientists and the GoracleHello again, tom:

Is THIS the heat you're talking about??

The South Dakota legislature yesterday, passed a resolution urging their schools to teach climate change in a particular way. This, I kid you not, is the resolution they passed:

"... Be it resolved that the South Dakota legislature urges that instruction in public schools related to global warming include the following:

1. That global warming is scientific theory, not a fact;
2. That there are a variety of climatological, astrological, thermological, cosmological, and ecological dynamics that can effect [sic] world weather phenomena... "

So, according to the people who KNOW in South Dakota, climate change is caused because the STARS aren't lined up. Really! ASTROLOGY causes global warming!! Or, maybe thermological stuff (whatever the HELL that means) is doing it.

THIS is the heat you're talking about?? Really?? Bwa, ha ha ha ha.

I can't speak for S.D. lawmakers. I'm quite sure they meant 'astronomical'.

Here is the 1st 2 points in a report to the UK Parlament released by the 'Institue of Physics ' ( Institute of Physics - Home of the Institute of Physics (http://www.iop.org/) ) who are invesigating the climategate emails .

What are the implications of the disclosures for the integrity of scientific research?
1. The Institute is concerned that, unless the disclosed e-mails are proved to be forgeries or adaptations, worrying implications arise for the integrity of scientific research in this field and for the credibility of the scientific method as practised in this context.

2. The CRU e-mails as published on the internet provide prima facie evidence of determined and co-ordinated refusals to comply with honourable scientific traditions and freedom of information law. The principle that scientists should be willing to expose their ideas and results to independent testing and replication by others, which requires the open exchange of data, procedures and materials, is vital. The lack of compliance has been confirmed by the findings of the Information Commissioner. This extends well beyond the CRU itself – most of the e-mails were exchanged with researchers in a number of other international institutions who are also involved in the formulation of the IPCC's conclusions on climate change.

Rajendra Pachauri ,the head of the IPCC is already about to face an independent inquiry for his role in the fraud . In the US the principle movers of the scam are the Goracle ,Michael Mann (the author of the phony 'hockey stick graph' ,and NASA's James Hansen. All of them need to be investigated .

Gee, paraclete, maybe if some of our "criminals" visit Australia you just might greet them with the guilloitine and make our day over here in the USA! I vote that all the guilty parties with the climate fraud go visit Australia and look up paraclete!
