The previous owners of our house explain that the drain to the septic tank had been crushed. Consequently the lower level toilets overflowed a number of times flooding the linoleum covered concrete floor. I do not know the extent of the flooding but the mop boards are missing in a number of locations exposing the wall baseplates. It is completely dry but the odor remains strong. What is the best treatment to remove the persistent odor?

Bleach is a good agent to remove smells. Good luck, Tom

We had a clean up lid blow off and all sewage was going out in the yard under a large deck. We have had the clog fixed and the septic cleaned out. How can we clean-up the mess under the deck?

Rake it all out, double bag and put in trash. Then spray some outdoors bleach under the deck. Quick lime will work but is very caustic, be careful if you go that way. Perhaps cover with mulch if accessible
