How do you determine inheritance taxes on property inLouisiana

Unless the estate is over $2 mil, there shouldn't be inheritance taxes. Taxes will kick in when you sell the property. The property will have its base value set at the market value at the time of death. Taxes will then be calculated based on whether a profit is made when the property is sold.
