I believe the WEP key can be obtained by contacting your internet service provider.

We had the same issue a while back with my Nintendo DS, we had to change the security settings, but had no idea what the WEP key was. A quick call the our provider and it was all sorted.

The WEP key is stored on the router itself, sorry shaz, but your ISP doesn't know it especially if it has been changed.

You'll need to log on to the router with a cabled connection and look for the connection information from there.

Some DSL companies will give a wireless router with their connection service and it will have been preset with a password. Usually its just a bunch of random characters, if that's the case you can get by calling your ISP, anything that was set up by someone else will probably have to be changed from a wired connection.
