It has a picture of Moses and the Tables of the Law in the opening page. It has 880 pages with a leather black/gold, embosssed, beautiful thick covers and when the book is closed, the pages show gold. On the binding it says, "Biblische Geschichte und Worterbuch Der Bibel. My grandfather and grandmother came from Austria so I am thinking it may be German/Austrian. Also, a date reads 18..

Its not the bible as in "The Bible". But it is bible related. Its bible words to live by and examples. It sounds like a beautiful book. Biblical history and the Bible Dictionary

According to Google's translator, the title "Heilige Schrill" translates literally to "Sacred Shrill". I'm thinking "Shrill" in this context is not the English definition but rather a usage specific to German meaning something like "shout" or "proclamation"... these are guesses.
The long title, "Biblische Geschichte und Worterbuch Der Bibel" translates to "Biblical History and Dictionary of the Bible" - which seems to fit well enough.

Biblische Geschichte und Worterbuch Der Bibel = Biblical History and Dictionary of the Bible
Heilige Schrill = Holy Shriek (or Shout)
