Does the motherboard light blink? Is there more then one colored light? Does it post? Make a beeping sound?

Does your video attempt to turn on. Light on monitor changes color but screen stays blank?

OK I hooked up the monitor... I turned it on and the monitor said "SELF TEST-CHECK YOUR PC AND SIGNAL CABLE- MONITOR IS WORKING".

Then I unpluged the cpu and turned on the monitor, and the same message came up...

Same problem here. Only way I can get it to start is to unplug and plug back in the power cord. These emachines are total junk!
