When I was 16 I got in a fight with my parents, or more like my dad started picking on me,then my parents put me in the mental hospital.

I don't think I deserve to have that on my record. It will prevent me from joining the military.

Since this all happened when I was a minor, and I still am a minor, can I get a lawyer to erase or SEAL my record? This is a psychiatric record.

I really want to join the Marines,I see myself doing something like that. Please do not tell me to find another career to do. Instead answer my question

Please don't attempt to tell people how to answer your question. This is a public board.

A military background check will reveal all charges and involuntary hospitalizations (and you will be asked questions which you must answer correctly) so having the record sealed or removed will not make a difference.

You WILL be asked about psychiatric problems.

You could contact an Attorney and ask or attempt to enlist when you are of age, prepared to explain the hospitalization.
