Hi! lindadawes, welcome to AMHD :)
The water won't come out of the door on my side-by-side refrigeratorTwo areas.
Have you ever changed the filter?
And if you have...
Most likely the water line that supplies water inside the freezer door has frozen up blocking the dispenser. Try leaving the freezer door open for 5-10 minutes and allow the line to thaw out. You may have to turn down the setting on the freezer so it doesn't run so cold.
Kitchen freezers can be set safely between 32°F - 0°C
Storage freezers 0°F - -18°C or lower.
If it doesn't bend the spoon when I go for Ice Cream, it's cold enough. ;)
Can you supply Make, Model, and serial numbers?
Some locations to check for #'s
Inside where food is stored, upper left or right.
On front kick plate.
On back outer wall.

Linda, it's probably frozen like K said... Just get your hair dryer, open the freezer door, run the dryer for 5 - 10 minutes over the area just below where the ice dispenses. Does that make sense? It may take a while... This has worked for us several times. It will probably freeze again. It's a design flaw that GE won't stand behind.
