I have HP laptop, windows vista 32bit and I want to restore it to factory settings, I don't have recovery cd, but I have recovery partition and used to be able to restore from startup by pressing F11, when recovery manager loads up, but now its just doesn't load up and when I press F11 nothing happens. Is there any other way to load up does files from recovery partinion?

Try holding down the F11 on boot and/or continually tap on F11 during start of laptop.

But you still can get into the system, correct?

You may have the option to create recovery disks from inside windows with HP.

Start, programs, accessories and look for Maintenance and see if create disks is there as an option. If not there, look in all folders in accessories for the option to create.

I still can't get into the system by pressing F11.

I looked through accessories and there is no such option.

Found this and makes perfect sense and worked for many people and will keep as reference formyself as well

If U can access to START > Control Panel > Administrative tools or shorter way:

START > run > compmgmt.msc and press enter

Then Disk management

Find which is recovery partition, right click and
Make Mark partition as Active

Then restart PC.
