A 1.2*10^3Kg car traveling at 50.0Km/h experiences a frictional force of 2.2*10^2N. If the wheels push while a force of 7.5*10^3N, what is the car's acceleration?

Remember F=ma?

You have your m and F, except that you need to find F using the two given forces, so that you can find a, the acceleration.

Find the resultant force, then use that resultant to find the acceleration.

You got 220N pushing the car one way, and 7500N pushing it the other way. They will work against each other. Find the resultant like Unknown said, and then plug in

F=ma
F = Force
a= Acceleration
m = Mass

Solve for acceleration.
