I have a 401k and profit sharing through the company I work for. My husband and I are splitting up and for me to move out and get a place of my own I will need to take an early withdrawl from my 401k. Will the withdrawl effect my profit sharing and can I continue to contribute to the plan?

I assume that you are talking about two separate plans here - a 401(k) and a profit share, correct? If they are administered separately (as they are at the company I work for), then a withdrawal from your 401(k) does not affect your particiapation in the profit share plan. But are you sure that you are allowed to take a withdrawal from your 401(k)? Unless the purpose of the withdrawal falls into one of the "hardship" categories it is unlikely that your plan will allow it. You'd actually be better served to consider a loan from your 401(k) rather than a withdrawal - that way you avoid the income taxes and early withdrawal penalty.
