Im having a struggle (at 16) with what I should pursue as my career later on. One of my loves is soccer. Ive been playing soccer since I was 7. Ive being seen by college coaches and Im on some recruiting lists. So I thought I could pursue playing professional soccer. But my other love is music. I did this before soccer. Ive sang numerous places and I play the organ/keyboard at my church. I was thinking of attending the Berklee college of music but Im unsure. Im standing at the beginning of two crossroads. I need some help to help me think this through. Thanks marquez!

Hi, marquez!
There's really no need for you to make a decision right now. Making a decision could be a number of years down the line.
One of the things that I do, is that I'm a professional musician. When I was in junior high school, I did have to make a choice between music or sports though. I used to play football, basketball and also boxing.
My band director used to get really mad at me when I would get hit in the mouth. It would mess up my playing of the tuba.
So, I decided to make a choice - music or sports. I chose music, because that is something a person can really do all of their life.
I taught music in public and private schools for many years. I'm retired from doing that now. I do still play various instruments and sing professionally. I also direct a barbershop men's chorus.
Since you've also mentioned church music, I've been involved as a leader musically in churches for nearly forty years in many ways. I'm still doing that.
If you would like to discuss your concerns, I would welcome the opportunity!
Thanks!
