I have a model 66517014403 kenmore ultra dishwasher that the top level is not getting cleaned and the water does not seem to be hot enough.

The hot water for my dishwasher is the hottest from my tap, so I know that part is right. As for the top shelf not getting clean, there should be a tube that comes up when the water goes on. Something is clogged, so take a good look and clean out all openings with a toothpick.

Dishes have to be very free of debris before putting them in a dishwasher or nothing will work properly after a while because everything gets clogged up with old food.
