I put in new ring 2 weeks ago (at which time I had my period like I always do-in between rings) but now had a little blood in my underwear this morning. Is it just another period or what?

This sounds like what is called breakthrough bleeding and is considered normal while using the nuvaring, and other hormone related birth control, like the Pill. It is usually just light spotting for no apparent reason.
