I have around 12 inches of snow on roof and in my basement noticed that there is some dripping (drop by drop) from the sides of a couple of black PVC pipes. I think these pipes are connected to the vent which I think is covered by snow. Checked my attic and there is no leak. Any idea were this water is coming from? Is it possible that one of the pipes is leaking?

Depending on temp it could just be condensation.

Any way of stopping it if it is condensation?

You could wrap the pipes in insulation. How bad is it and is it going onto dirt or concrete?

It's coming out drop by drop and going on concrete floor. But worried about the wood above.

You should be able to notice if its condensation. It should be beaded around the pipe. How far can you see it?

Cannot see anything other than wet wood when I see from basement. Looks like water is getting collected on the wood floor and then dripping.

Then that could be entirely different. If the drip is constant then you may have a leak near there and it is migrating to the pipe (low spot). How fast is the drip? If its enough to make a floor wet from above then it needs further inspection.

It's drop by drop but is constant. Thanks for the info. I will call a plumber for an inspection/fix.
